My experiments with macro :)
Here's our signature abstraction photography piece. This has been created a few years ago on a long, dark and cold winter evening. Just playing around with my camera, looking for inspiration in the photography magazines and here we are. Those are the close ups of a blue rose flower which has been placed in a container with water and then simply shuved in the freezer.
After I got my block of ice with my hidden rose I've put it on a white paper and wrapped it with aluminium foil to reflect the light I was using from my desk lamp. The fun begun at that point. And as I didn't have a very high spec macro lens I was practising with an old russian 40mm lens with extension rings attached. As the focus is only manual on that thing it let me find a different way of seeing my subject and explore the beautiful petals as much as be inspired by the water formulations.
We are still to order aluminium prints of this series as it will show the depth and magic of what was created that evening. When we have our studio open you will be able to see it for yourself but for now enjoy our digital versions :)
